The Word-Wednesday Word

“Oh, how I love Your law!
It is my meditation all the day.”
-Psalm 119:97 (NKJV)

As children of God we are supposed to meditate on the Word of God all day LONG. Too many of us only open our Bibles once or twice per week at church or Bible study. However we should keep God’s Word in the forefront of our minds at all times. If you truly want to please the Lord and live your best life this shouldn’t be a problem.

Mediation on the Word is more important today than ever. Countless worldly influences fight for your attention and can put your mind in the wrong place. The only way to counter the attacks of the enemy is with the Word (Ephesians 6:17). Your mind is a battlefield between righteousness and sin. Instead of checking Facebook or idle chatter; use a short break or two throughout your day to spend more time in the Word. Let righteousness prevail in your mind and take over your life!

The Word-Tuesday Truth

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. ”-2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV)

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. Some people go through great lengths just to try and hear from the Lord. Some think a person must attend some kind of retreat, attend some grand conference, or buy the latest Christian book. None of those things are bad, BUT the primary way that we hear from Christ and understand who He is through diligent study of the Word.

Today we have translations from the original languages in those that we can comprehend. It is God’s Word; just translated into our language. You can study the Word effectively. This requires the right teaching and resources, but most of all a heart that hungers for God’s truth above all else. Let the light of God’s Word convict, correct, console, and protect you in this dark world!

The Word-Monday Motivation

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”-2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV)

God loves mankind so much that He wrote a letter that contains all we need to know. Today we call it the Bible. In the Bible we understand who God is. We see how He works. We can observe how the Lord relates to mankind. We ultimately see how He loves us. We see Him over and over again reaching out to sinful man and giving us another chance. Especially through the work of Jesus Christ.

God wrote the Bible just for you! He does not want you to barely make it through life on your own. He gave you His Word. No we cannot physically see Jesus walking around today, but we have the Spirit living in us who teaches us what the Word means. Take advantage of this supernatural resource. Study the Word of God and get your mind in sync with the Lord’s.

Just Believe Friday Freedom

“Trust in Him who will not leave you,
Whatsoever years may bring,
If by earthly friends forsaken
Still more closely to Him cling.”

The only way to live a life pleasing to God is through faith in Him (Hebrews 11:6). You can trust God no matter what. Everything else will change, but Christ remains the same. Who else has been as faithful to you as God? No one! God will never leave you so don’t leave Him! Have faith and trust in the Lord.

Just Believe-Thursday Thought

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." - Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)

Do you seek God diligently? Many of us love God. We recognize Him as the Lord. We want to live a decent life. But God doesn’t call us to just respect Him sometimes or value His thoughts periodically. Christ want us to seek Him with diligence. We must place the Lord in the forefront of our hearts and minds. All that we are should be for and about Him.

What is your motivation in life? Whom do you seek to please? When you live only for yourself, you can only rely on yourself. But when you seek God diligently, you can walk with Him and grow in your faith. There is a joy and level of success in having faith in Christ that nothing else can match. Whatever He is leading you to do, just do it! Trust Him.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." - Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)

The only way to live a godly life effectively is through faith. We have to learn how to let go of what we think and rely on Christ’s power. Although many of us want to have faith when we feel like it; God calls us to a life of faith. Everything we do should be led and approved by Him; even if it doesn’t make sense to us. Just trust Him.

You can not please God by yourself. Don’t try to go through life relying on yourself when you feel like it and then ‘trusting’ God when you think you need Him. Understand that even when the Lord’s plan doesn't make sense to you; He already knows. Look back on all He has done for you in the past and move forward in faith. Live a life that is pleasing to God!

Just Believe-Tuesday Truth

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony." - Hebrews 11:1-2 (NKJV)

Faith in Christ is the key to victory. The writer of Hebrews says the elders obtained a good testimony by faith. Sometimes when we don’t have anything visible or tangible we have to rest in our faith in God. However we can also look to those who have had spiritual successes. Stories from those in the Bible, our friends and family, and even our past triumphs remind us of all that God is able to do.

You may not be able to see what God is about to do, but you can look back on all that He has done. This is how faith is strengthened. Past experiences and the testimonies of others are a boost to your confidence. Do you want to look back on your life and be pleased with your spiritual victory? Then live a life of faith in Jesus Christ. Faith Christ’s power yields success and blessings!

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." - Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)

You can have faith in Jesus. Whatever you are trusting Him to do He can do it. Sometimes it can be hard to believe in someone because they let us down. But Christ has never let anyone down. He always comes through. He always does exactly what He said He would do. You can trust Him.

You don’t have to worry. You can simply rest in Jesus Christ. That same God who raised His Son from the dead is working out miracles for you everyday. You don’t have to try and figure life out all on your own. You don’t have to wonder if you can endure your situations. God is more than able to help you through. You can trust God. Have faith.

Walking with God-Friday Freedom

“Walk with me Lord! Walk with me.
Walk with me Lord! Walk with me.
While I’m on this tedious journey
I need Jesus, to walk with me!

Be my guide Lord! Be my guide…”
If you are a child of God, then you can walk with the Lord. There is no situation in life that you have to endure alone. Instead of worrying just lay your request before the Lord and have peace. When you sin, don’t get down on yourself. Just confess it to Christ and know that He still loves you. When it may seem like no one else is there; God is there. Jesus gave His very life for you. Do you really think He would give up on you now? When God is on your side, He is all you need! Walk with the Lord.

Walking with God-Thursday Thought

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct
your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

Who are you walking with? God has given us the opportunity to be by His side throughout anything that comes our way. If we are not careful, we can get lose our focus and start moving in the wrong direction. We may start moving in the direction of the world. We may start being driven by what we want as opposed to what the Lord wants for us. It can be very easy to get lost in our own desires.

Are you walking with Christ? You may know Him, but living in close relationship is something deeper. A Christian never has to face any situation in life alone. Why? Because we have access to Almighty God. You and I don’t know much, but we can rely on God’s wisdom and power. When God is on your side, He is all you need. Walk with the Lord.

Walking with God-Wednesday Word

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct
your paths."  - Proverbs 3:5-6

A natural part of life is wondering about the future. What’s coming up next? We contemplate all the possible outcomes and consequences. We think about what we can do to make our future more favorable. We think about what we can avoid to dodge pitfalls. Planning for the future is not bad in itself, but the first thing we should do is trust God. When we put Him first, the Lord gives us a simple recipe for success.

God says that of you just trust Him, He will take care of everything. Christ says that of seek His wisdom and not your own, then He will show you where to go. As you go through this journey of life seek God’s direction above all else. Don’t stress yourself out trying to handle all of life’s issue. God is with you. If you just recognize Jesus in all that you do, then He will direct your paths. Walk with the Lord.

Walking with God-Tuesday Truth

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

God loves you even though you do not deserve it! While we were still sinners. When nothing about you was worth Jesus’ love, the Lord gave it anyway. This is the kind of love that only God can give. Sometimes we tend to doubt God. We look around at the situations in our lives and wonder if we can really trust Him. Of course we can. Just look at the way Christ loves us.

God’s love will never fail you. He has already proved that He loved you even when you were unlovable. Christ chose to come and help you just because of His love. He wants to walk by your side throughout this life. He wants to help you endure all the many troubles that may come your way. He wants you to know that you can trust and confide in Him. Jesus loves you. Walk with the Lord.

Walking With God-Monday Motivation

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand.” - Psalm 37:23-24

God promises to walk with and uphold the righteous. He does not promise to remove all of your problems. The Lord does not claim to take away all the people who get on your nerves. Christ never said that everything will be perfect. BUT, He does say that He will NEVER leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Even when you slip, trip, or fall, Jesus Christ is right there holding your hand.

You can move forward with your life. No matter what has happened in the past, you can still be successful in Christ. Even when facing consequences from your own mistakes, God is holding your hand. You are not perfect. Jesus knows that. What’s done is done. God already knew about it and He can help you through. Hold your head up high as a child of God and walk with the Lord!

Integrity-Friday Freedom

“I want to walk worthy,
According to Your will.
Please order my steps, Lord,
And I'll do your blessed will.
The world is ever changing,
But You are still the same;
If You order my steps, I'll praise Your name!!!”

God orders the steps of the righteous (Psalm 37:23). If you have a heart for God, then there is nothing to fear in life. Trials come. Haters will continue to hate. Problems won’t go away. But the steps of a good man are ordered! Keep praising Jesus knowing that he is ultimately in control of everything. Walk with integrity and righteousness. Walk into God’s best.

Integrity-Thursday Thought

What are you known for?

“He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known.” ~Proverbs 10:9

Everyone chooses the path they will take for their life. We all make excellent decisions at some point. We all make bad decisions too. Nobody is perfect, but the presence of Jesus will make a noticeable change in a person’s life. Walking in His will can give you a life of security, peace, and joy. This will flow through you to all that you come into contact with.

Do people see you as a person of integrity or a disgrace? The Lord promises that living according to His will brings security and confidence in life. Why? Because God’s will is the only way to real success and worthwhile life. Anything else is meaningless. Every person will be known for something. We all have a past, but will you ultimately be known for?

Integrity-Wednesday Word

“He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known” ~ Proverbs 10:9 (NKJV)

Living in a God-fearing manner will always yield security. Walking in the Lord’s path will surely lead to confidence in your life. Paul says that if we keep our minds on the right things then God will give us peace (Philippians 4:8-9). Psalm 37:23-24 (NKJV) says:

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand.

For the righteous person, even when you slip God is there the whole time. Don’t you want Christ to hold your hand?
A life of integrity will bring God’s blessings and security. You will have no choice, but to be confident and successful because the Lord is pleased with your life. This is why so many people are insecure, unfulfilled, and always worrying because they are out of God’s will and out of His security. Walk with integrity. Walk with security. Be confident and walk boldly into God’s best for your life!

Integrity-Tuesday Truth

“The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.” ~Proverbs 11:3 (NKJV)

A simple concept with deep implications. Someone may read a verse such as this and think that it is common sense. But the way many people are living, even many Christians, tells us that it is not. Think about how much smoother most people’s lives would be if they just lived by this principle. When we live right and according to God’s standards, He leads us and takes care of us. When we veer off on our own paths; we are bound for destruction.

There is only one way to have clear direction in life. And that is following the Lord Jesus Christ. Living a life a life that is pleasing to Lord will always yield good things for you. Because God is pleased with your life He will continue to lead you. Why? Because you want to go where Christ wants you to go. Have you ever been in an unfamiliar room and the lights were off? Most likely you stumbled over something. Don’t stumble through life. Walk in the Spirit. Live righteously and enjoy the direction of God Almighty.

Integrity-Monday Motivation

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. ~2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

We are called to live holy, Christ-like lives
(1 Peter 1:16). This may sound impossible, but the good news is that we actually can. If you have been born again, then you are a new creation. You have a new life in Christ (Romans 6:11). When Jesus rose from the grave He vanquished your sin. He annihilated your past and gave you a fresh start. The Lord proved His absolute dominance over anything that weighs you down. In Him you are not a slave to your past or to your sins. As a child of God you are set free.

God has provided all you need to live a righteous life; His power. If you continue to study His Word and have a heart for Him you will be progressively sanctified (Ephesians 5:26). Keep earnestly walking with Jesus and you will sin less. Some things that used to set you off will not affect you anymore. You will have a more fruitful life because you will desire what God desires for your life. None of us become mature over night, but over time Christ does make noticeable changes in our hearts and minds. You’re not perfect but praise God you’re not where you used to be. Continue to have a heart for God and become more like Him!

God Knows You!-Friday Freedom

“I love You Jesus way down in my heart
I love You Jesus way down in my heart
I’m talking ‘bout deep deep down down
Way down in my heart
I’m talking ‘bout deep deep down down
Way down in my heart!”

Before you were even thought of Jesus loved you. There is no greater friend than Jesus. No on knows you like He does and no one can love you like He can. Take advantage of the supernatural relationship. Just think about how deep God knows you. You can trust Him with anything. You don’t have to hold anything back from Him. He knows everything anyway and won’t look at you any different. God knows you! And He loves you too.

God Knows You!-Thursday Thought

“Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.” Psalm 139:16

Do you ever just think about how well the Lord knows you? He knows you to an extent that is greater that beyond comprehension. Jesus knows exactly how many hairs are on your head (Luke 12:7).  Every single detail about us and about our lives; the Lord already knows about it. He has always known. As we continue to mature and progress through life we learn more about ourselves. But nothing we learn surprises God.

Do you take advantage of knowing the God who knows you so well? Don’t run to people who claim to tell you your future; God knows. Don’t waste time asking yourself and stressing about the plans and path for your life. God knows. You don’t have to try and work any situation out in your life alone because God already knows exactly how your life will play out. He always knew and He wants you to walk with Him. God actually knows every single step you will take. Trust Him.

God Knows You!-Wednesday Word

“For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.” Psalm 139:13-14

Fearfully and wonderfully made. That is how God describes forming you. Do you think of yourself as one of God’s precious creations? If not, then you definitely should. Sometimes life weighs us down to the point where we may even get down on ourselves. It may just be a low point, comparing ourselves to others, or just a feeling of inadequacy. However God says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made!

There is not another you in this world. There never has been and there never will be. God took the time to knit you together in the womb with great care, detail, and concern. You are one of God’s precious creations. There is a destiny and a specific plan, in Christ, that the Lord has laid out just for you. Even if you do not think so, God knows you are a capable, intelligent, and amazing person. How?  Because He made you that way.

God Knows You!-Tuesday Truth

God has already factored your failures into your success!

"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them."

~Psalm 139:16 (NKJV)

Before conception God already saw your life from beginning to end. As the Lord set your life’s plan, He saw all the mistakes that you would make. If we are not careful, we can let our mistakes weigh us down. We slip up. We mess up. We stumble and fall. Sometimes we get into something so bad that we feel like we can never achieve God’s best. But the opposite is actually true.

In Christ, the very thing you thought was a take-down will be a set up for a blessing. Do you really believe that all things work together for your good? Then walk confidently through life.  Christ mapped out your plan with all the slip us and mistakes in mind. Nothing you have done surprises Him. As long as you learn from your shortcomings then you are on the right track. God knows all about you, but He also knows all you can be!

God Knows You!-Monday Motivation

“Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.” Psalm 139:16

God knows you! How well does He know you? Well, God always knew you. Even in the womb, the Lord already knew about you. Before being formed Jesus already knew every single thing about your life. As we progress through life we constantly learn more about ourselves; especially our faults. We slip and stumble so many times in this walk. Before we were conceived, the Lord knew all about us, yet He loves us anyway.
You are a unique and special person made by the Lord. Don’t try to change yourself because you are simply the person that God has created you to be. Right now so many things in life may seem uncertain. Mistakes from the past may be lingering and hindering progress. Don’t let that happen. God always knew about you. He knew every mistake you would make. He still loves you and has a miraculous plan for your life!
