I never hear them sing about this

When I hear the radio

And though I've seen a lot of movies

Endings never seem to show

That sometimes miracles are people

Who let God's love take control

It's why I believe in you

God's Absolute Best!-Thursday Thought

Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 ESV

Will you marry me? No, I'm not asking any of you that question. This is obviously from when Kimberli and I got engaged back in May. As many of are used to I got bombarded with the question, "How did you know?" When a Christian makes a decision, even a really huge one, there is one sure way to know it is right and The Lord's Absolute Best...PEACE! Following what Jesus says will always lead to peace in our spirits.

Are you following the will of God? If so, then you will have peace in any situation. The Word of God tells that when we keep our mind on godly things then Christ will give us peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4). Of course our mind is where our actions begin. Therefore a heavenly mindset will lead to godly actions. Godly actions lead to peace. When you are receiving God's Absolute Best for your life you will have peace in that area of your life. Do you have peace?

God's Absolute Best!-Wednesday Word

Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 ESV

When God placed Kimberli in my life I knew she was the one for me. I often get asked the question, "how did you know?' My response is simple. I know she is God's Absolute Best for my life. I knew she was God's Absolute Best because that is exactly what I was looking for and nothing less. God gave me a desire and expectation and I was ready when He presented me with His promise.

If you are open to the voice of Jesus, then you will hear Him speak. God gives direction to the discerning Christian. Be open to The Lord's voice in your situation. When you know God has something great for you do not settle. Expect His Absolute Best. Trust and wait on Christ do what He always does; meet and exceed your expectations!

God's Absolute Best!-Tuesday Truth

Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 ESV

God knows what you need and He wants you to enjoy life! Above is Kimberli and I at our engagement photo shoot. People always tell me that whenever get around Kim I smile more. I know it’s true! Why? Because she makes me happy. In my time of singleness I often wondered if God would ever give me a mate and if would she meet my expectations. Oh how foolish that seems from a retrospective viewpoint! In the time where I was wondering where she was The Lord was preparing me for her... His Absolute BEST!

God wants you to be happy. He wants you to have success in all of the endeavors of your life. In those times when you’re wondering if The Lord still cares remember who God is. No one loves you more than He does. No one cares about your well-being to the depth that Jesus does. No one knows what you need more than Jesus Christ does. Leave your situation in His hands. Trust that The Lord knows your desires and wants you to have a joyful life. Get His absolute BEST!!!

God's Absolute Best!-Monday Motivation

Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 ESV

This is me and my fiancĂ©e, Kimberli. In five days Kimberli and I will be husband and wife. In her God gave me everything I needed in a mate. One of my many nicknames for her is my Eve because I know God custom made her just for me. I am able to say that we will be wed this weekend because I waited for The Lord’s absolute best for my life. It wasn’t always easy, sometimes it was downright unbearable, but I trusted Jesus. And God answered my prayer far beyond my expectations!

When you wait on God and trust Him, then you get His absolute best! Not just in relationships, but in every aspect of your life. Waiting and trusting The Lord is hard, but well worth the sacrifice. When we go out and get what we want that’s exactly what we end up with; our best. Doing what you want in your timing will leave you unfulfilled with your job, finances, and any other situation you try to control. Whatever your situation is give it over to Jesus. Wait on God, let Him have control, and receive His best!

“I can do all things through Christ which

strengtheneth me.~Philippians 4:13

Is God really your all? Is He your joy and your strength? Live like it today. Stop trying to do the “little things” by yourself. Since God is your all, then recognize that you must do all things through Him and Him alone. He will never leave you, even when you try to leave Him. The Lord is always faithful. God never breaks a promise. Let Him truly be your all in all. Do all things through Him and be outrageously blessed!

God is the joy and the strength of my life,

He moves all pain, misery, and strife.

He promised to keep me, never to leave me.
He's never ever come short of His word.
I've got to fast and pray, stay in His narrow way,
I've got to keep my life clean everyday;
I want to go with Him when He comes back,
I've come to far and I'll never turn back.
God is my all in all.

In Christ-Thursday Thought

“I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me.~Philippians 4:13

When was the last time you sought God's plans instead of your own? Many of us get into trouble, not because of the enemy, but due to our own bad decisions. Spiritual forces are at work in this world, however sometimes we simply do what we want and pay the price. Then when life gets rough we quote, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” But the problem is we wait until we think we need God to say that verse. Many times if we were doing all things through Christ from the beginning we would avoid immense embarrassment and pain.

Do you bring your plans before the Lord ? Or do you just do your own thing until you feel like you need Him? When Paul said “all things” that is exactly what he meant; big and small. EVERYTHING! Don’t make God the Lord of your life only when it seems convenient for you. Let Him control all of your life all of the time. Do all things through Christ and live your best life!

In Christ-Wednesday Word

“I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me.~Philippians 4:13

Whatever God has for you is already yours. That may sound like a clichĂ© statement, but it is true nonetheless. The Lord has created you for His intended purposes. You were made to succeed through Christ’s power. If you are sincerely following Christ, then nothing can stop you from achieving victory.

Take a moment to really think about what “all things” means. Whatever God has for you to do, He has the strength to see you through. Whatever trial pops up in your way, the Lord can crush it in His own timing. He has the power; all you have to do is follow Him. If you are a child of God declare to yourself right now, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!”

In Christ-Tuesday Truth

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 KJV

Besides Christ there is nothing else to be confident in. The ups and downs of life show us that nothing in life is consistent except Him. Everything else changes in some way! Finances fluctuate, relationships come and go, even people change over time. But God is always the same. His nature never changes; He always faithful, always loving, always honest, and always true.

Before his bold claim in Philippians 4:13 Paul said that he knew how to be abased and how to abound. Paul knew what it meant to run low and to overflow. From well-respected and loved to outcast and beaten repeatedly; his life had been through some drastic changes. He claimed confidence in Christ in the midst of it all. Why? Because Christ was always faithful. Take a good look at your life and you’ll notice the same. Be confident in Christ and no one else!

In Christ-Monday Motivation

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 KJV

As a child of God you can have complete confidence in Christ! Many people never get as far in life as they could because they lack confidence. Confidence is not arrogance. Confidence is simply realizing and understanding that you have the power to succeed. During praise and worship we always recognize how awesome and powerful our God is. For the true Christian, confidence is simply recognizing that that same power resides in you as well.

Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me” (Phil 4:13). Most of us can quote that, but few actually live like we believe it. God has great plans for your life. He has already provided a way for you to achieve your goals. You can achieve anything in life that is God’s will. He already has the means for you to overcome bad situations. You can conquer anything in life if you do it God’s way. If you are a child of God, then be confident in Christ!

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)

The more we continue to live life half in and half out the enemy will continue to wear us down When we seek Christ totally, He will give us life to the fullest! After spending some time thinking you may realize that there are some major changes that need to occur in your life. MAKE THEM! Give your whole life over to God and experience the greatness He has for you! Yield your whole self over to God and pray for His strength. Let go of sinful influences and live your best life!

“My heart, my mind
My soul belongs to You
You paid the price for me
Way back on Calvary
And yes I praise You
I life You up
I magnify Your name!

That’s why my heart is filled with praise…”

Everything Thursday Thought

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)
Christians can get caught up in the world’s view of success. We can end up chasing and living for money, which really is living for evil (1 Timothy 6:10). In other cases we can have plans for our lives that are not necessarily wrong. We may have a certain profession, location, etc. that we want for ourselves. However it may conflict with the plans that God has for us. Then if we choose to do one thing knowing that God has something else for us, then that becomes sin as well. At the end of everything it comes down to one simple question; who do you think has better plans; you or God?

God has great plans for every one of you (Jeremiah 29:11). After we receive Jesus Christ as our personal savior, we must then continually yield ourselves over to the will of God. Through prayer and bible study we can continually know Jesus and let Him take more and more control of our lives. Therefore if we let God truly be our Lord (Master and Ruler of our ENTIRE lives), we can walk into the great plans that He has for us and be blessed immeasurably. In order to make this a reality there are two key factors that must be in play here; devotion and discipline. Are you a disciplined child of God?

Everything-Wednesday Word

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33 ESV)

From my study. Have to make sure I always make time for The Lord!

God wants us to be focused on Him in all that we do. But the question looms, 'what about everything else?' We have jobs, relationships, finances, and the like to be concerned about. Too often we focus on everything else but Jesus. Jesus said seek Him first, so now we have a problem. But in Christ there is always a solution!

Jesus said seek Him and He will handle the rest. When you focus on pleasing God everything else will work out. Simy sated, stop worrying and seek God first. When you give Him your everything He will take care of everything!!!

Everything-Tuesday Truth

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)

All of our actions start in the mind. We think about doing something, then do it. Sin is conceived in the mind before it becomes action (James 1:15). So often as Christians we end up doing things we know are wrong repeatedly and then wonder why. This can come from us putting ourselves in situations and around people that breed an environment to do what is wrong. Even if we love Christ, if we are constantly listening to, watching, and reading things that glorify and uphold actions and mindsets contrary to God’s will, we will have these thoughts in our minds.

Obviously, these thoughts will sometimes become actions. Often times these things may not be as blatant as you would expect. For example, many sitcoms/movies show unmarried couples living together and having sex as ways to reach “new levels” in their relationship. While this is not necessarily “bad” (illegal) by worldly standards, we know this is wrong in God’s sight and is therefore sin. Another major theme presented all over is reaching Heaven or true happiness through one’s good actions or good works; which is blatantly contrary to true salvation which can only be attained through Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Maybe you get confused and swayed in your relationship with God because too many things going into your mind are pulling you away…

Everything-Monday Motivation

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1 esv

God is truly an awesome God. As we all know He has performed great wonders throughout time and still is today. From the creation of this world to parting the Red Sea to Jesus’ resurrection and even us just having life at this very moment; the list goes on and on. This is the God that we all want to know and have a relationship with. He is the blessing God, the merciful God, and the forgiving God. However this is just part of God’s nature toward us.

When you give everything to The Lord He takes care of all your needs! Give it over to Him!

Mind Control-Friday Freedom

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 esv

When you accepted Christ He made you a new person with a new mind. The way we walk into that newness is by letting our minds be continually renewed. Your feelings don’t have to control you. Your past doesn’t have to enslave you. Fear is defeated in Christ. Look at life from the right perspective; God’s perspective. Let your mind be happy, healthy, and free!!!

"Renew me
Remake me
Create in me a clean heart oh God
Restore me
Transform me
Create in me a clean heart oh God

Verse I
Change my heart oh Lord
I'm broken before you now
Take me as I am
Receive this sacrifice"
~Martha Munizzi
