The Process-Tuesday Truth

So I went down to the potter's house, and there he was working at his wheel. And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter's hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.
Jeremiah 18:3-4 esv

Clay has no will of its own.  It only goes along with the shifting of the potter. Whatever the potter wishes to do with the clay, the clay always goes along with it. It doesn't have a choice. It has no will of its own. It is simply raw material in the hands of one who can make it something great.

That's  where you and I differ from the clay. We have our own will. We have our own ideas of what God should be doing in our lives. How absurd it is to think of clay telling a potter what to do, yet that is how so many of us treat God. We want to call the shots. We want to shape ourselves. Therefore, at times God has to smash us back down and start us over again. Be like the clay. Give in to the Potter's will. Be blessed and let God shape you into His masterpiece!
