It's A Setup!-Friday Freedom

And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment,  for she said to herself, “If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.” Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well. Matthew 9:20-22

Only Jesus can supply everything that we need. He alone is our Source. Faith in Christ is like plugging into a never ending Source of strength, healing, hope, and power. Are you connected? Let Jesus heal you. Have faith that He is the Son of God. Trust Him be Head and Lord of Your life. He can handle your life better than you can. Trust Jesus. He is setting you up for something greater.

It's A Set Up!-Thursday Thought

And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment,  for she said to herself, “If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.” Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well. Matthew 9:20-22

What are you setting yourself up for? Actions start in the mind. What we spend our time doing will yield great effects in our future. What we say to ourselves steers our course of thinking. Who we spend time around influences our own actions. When this woman heard about Jesus she said to herself that she would seek Him in faith and be healed. She was in the presence of Christ. She positively spoke into her situation. She acted on her positive intentions. Jesus did the healing, but she had to act out her faith!

Are you acting out your faith? Do you hang around with individuals who push you in that direction? In the face of adversity what kind of words do you speak into your situation?  Healing or hurt? Life or death? Faith without works is dead. While you are waiting on God to move HAVE FAITH. Let that faith in Christ govern your thoughts, words, and actions. Keep seeking Him and His will! God always come through in His perfect ways and timing. God is setting you up for a blessing!

It's A Setup!- Wednesday Word

And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be healed by anyone. She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately her discharge of blood ceased. Luke 8:43-44

Look at the power of Christ. Immediate. A twelve year search for healing ended in an instant. Over a decade of suffering vanquished immediately. That's how our God works. It doesn't matter how long you have been struggling. God can heal you. It does not matter how long you have been trying to do it your way. Jesus Christ can heal your wounds. Christ can save you in an instant. He can heal you immediately.

The moment we accept Christ He saves us and makes us new. He gives us power over everything that keeps us down. All you have to do is trust Him. For those who already know Christ it may be time to experience Christ on a deeper level. Don't miss out on God's best. Get the healing you need. Your suffering is for a purpose. Find out what it is.

It's A Setup!-Tuesday Truth

And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be healed by anyone. Luke 8:43

Christ wants you to know that He is the only solution in the issues of life. This woman reached out to physicians to cure her disease. But all of her efforts were to no avail. Still no healing. Still no deliverance. No one could help her. She spent all had and nothing worked. Nothing worked, that is, until she came across Jesus.

God wants you to know that He is the only solution for your troubles. Nothing else can help you. No one else can solve your problems. When it seems like nothing is working for you God just may be setting you up for a blessing. He wants you to understand that He is all you need. Continue to trust Him. Continue to believe that God is able.

Your blessing and testimony is on the way!!!

And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be healed by anyone. Luke 8:43

God often places His children in adverse situations so we can be ready to receive a blessing. As we continue to look at this woman we truly understand how God works. The old saying goes, "God works in mysterious ways." Well, they're only mysterious to us, not to God. He knows what He is doing the entire time. During this twelve year bout with her disease I'm sure this woman felt broken, despondent, and depressed. But sometimes God allows us to get extremely low just so He can reach down and pick us up.

Twelve years is a long time. Your situation may feel like that right now. It may even feel like an eternity. Don't give in to the fact that you cannot have deliverance. That is a lie from the Devil. If you are a child of God, then He will move on your behalf. Continue to trust Jesus Christ. He will deliver you in His perfect way and timing.

Your blessing and testimony is on the way!!!

Jesus knows and He cares about your issues! You are not alone. Understand that God and God alone is the Source to solve all of your issues. Whatever you are facing God can handle it. Put all of your faith in Christ. Trust Him to be The Almighty God. Jesus can dissolve years of anger and bitterness. He can break dangerous habits and mindsets. God is a Comforter, Friend, and Healer. Christ specializes in healing brokenness and turning lives around. He has the solutions for your issues. Let Him work in you!

"Shattered, but I'm not broken
Wounded, but time will heal
Heavy the load, the cross I bear
Lonely, the road I trod I dare

Yet still I rise
Never to give up
Never to give in
against all odds

At times I feel low
Yet still I rise..."

Is your faith in Jesus Christ? Many of you will instantly say “yes.” However it is a question worth pondering for all of us. This woman’s issue was solved when she sought Christ through faith. Now I’m sure that many of you reading this trusted in Christ at some point in your life and received salvation. You cannot lose your salvation, but in the important issues of life do you still have faith in Jesus? Do you still trust Him?
Is your faith still in Jesus Christ? It baffles me how so many “saved” people don’t trust Christ for the everyday issues of life. Do you honestly believe that He would save your soul, but leave you stranded on a bill, disease, addiction, or whatever your specific issue may be? You can always trust Jesus in all circumstances of life. Trusting Him is what started the relationship. Now allow that relationship to flourish.

Continue to trust Jesus!!!

When this woman touched Jesus' garment He told her that it was her faith that made her well. It wasn't anything that she could do on her own, but her faith in Jesus Christ. The word "faith" is tossed around so much these days. Faith in what or who is what really matters though. In discussing this story with an individual he told me that this woman was healed because she had faith in herself, but that is not the case. It was her faith in Jesus Christ. Only Christ could heal her and it was her belief in Him that unlocked that healing power.

Jesus can solve your issues. He is all you need. The key to your deliverance is not just faith, but faith in Jesus. Faith in your intelligence is not enough. Faith in your bank account will not work. Faith in your talents and abilities will leave you disappointed. Trusting and believing in Christ's power is all you need for your issues to be resolved. The same faith that you had when you trusted in Christ as Savior is the same faith that will deliver you from your issues!

Have faith in Christ.

This woman had an issue for 12 years. Most likely she tried anything and everything to get it solved. However nothing she tried could work. After this long bout with her issue she realized that only Jesus could help her get well. She knew in her heart that if she could just get to Jesus then her issue would be taken care of. She knew that touching Jesus' garment would make her well. She had faith in Christ.

Jesus can solve any issue that you have regardless of what it may be. Do you have an issue? Do you have issues? If you have been looking all around for help know that Jesus is the only One that can help you. He alone is the source to solve all your troubles. All you have to do is have faith in Jesus and his life-changing power. Jesus will solve your issues. Just trust Him!

Persistence-Friday Freedom

I have been young, and now am old,

yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
or his children begging for bread.
26
He is ever lending generously,
and his children become a blessing
Psalm 37:25-26

I sat down at my desk to type this post and the Spirit got a hold of me. I started thinking about the past year and all that God has brought me through. There were some periods of happiness, but those were coupled with periods of misery and pain. Like many of you I've experienced some things that would make the average person give up in life and on God. But...

God is faithful!

He is more faithful to me than I am to myself. He is truly a God of hope and restoration. He is a faithful God. Looking back on his life King David was able to say the same thing. David never saw any of God's children forsaken. Why? Because God is faithful. Look back over your walk with Jesus Christ. Has He been faithful? Of course He has! Even when we want to give up on ourselves and on Him, He never gives up on us. Not only did David say that God never forsakes the righteous, but they are never lacking AND they have enough to be a blessing to others. God is faithful!

Whatever you are facing know that God can handle it. He always has been faithful and always will be. When you are down believe that God has the strength to build you back up. Jesus is faithful!!!

"Faithful, faithful, faithful is our God
I'm reaping the harvest God promised me
Take back what the devil stole from me
And I rejoice today, for I shall recover it all
Yes, I rejoice today, for I shall recover it all"

Persistence-Thursday Thought

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the

mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
Romans 8:6

Do you want to experience life and peace?
Jesus came to give us abundant life. God wants you to live a full, meaningful, and satisfying life in Him. Here Paul helps us understand the key to living the life that God has ordained for us. The mind that is controlled by the Spirit is life and peace. Isn't that the kind of mind that you want?

Does God have your mind? The Christian life is a beautiful blessing and gift from God. However it is also a battle. Every single day we fight the flesh nature and are engaged in a battle with sin. The only way to achieve godly character and get the best out of life is to let God have His way in your mind. In the middle of our darkest trials we need to have the Word of God stored DEEP within our hearts. Allow Jesus to renew your way of thinking. So I ask you again.

DOES GOD HAVE YOUR MIND???

Persistence-Wednesday Word

How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
Psalm 13:1

David was in a point of despair. Through his many trials in life he cried out to The Lord. He felt alone. He felt as if that God had forgotten about him. While waiting for God's deliverance his heart cried out, "how long Lord!!!" This was what David was feeling at the moment, but he still trusted God. David's trust then led his heart to cry out:

But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.

Psalm 13:5

Have you ever felt David's pain? Do you sometimes feel as if God has forgotten about you? Sometimes we all struggle with trusting God for deliverance. God has not forgotten about you regardless of how you may feel. His love for you won't allow Him to do it. In the midst of your waiting and despair remember that God is trustworthy. Don't give up on Jesus. Jesus will never give up on you!!!

JESUS WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU!!!

Persistence-Tuesday Truth

If you faint in the day of adversity,
    your strength is small.
Proverbs 24:10

God takes time to do His work! We like to rush things. God does not. One of the main areas where we as God's people fail is patience. The Lord has promised to bless us. We know that He wants to work in our lives. We believe that He is able, but we don't want to wait! We can rush people to get what we want, but we can't rush God. He works on His own divine schedule.

Getting tired of waiting on God? Well you're in good company! Abraham, Joseph, Moses, and countless others in the Bible learned how to wait on God. It was in their waiting that they learned how to trust God for real. There is a stark difference between saying you trust God and actually going through a situation where your trust is tested. God hasn't forgotten about your situation. He is testing you. He is proving you.

YOU CAN MAKE IT THROUGH!!!

Persistence-Monday Motivation

If you faint in the day of adversity,
    your strength is small.

Proverbs 24:10

It's still the beginning of January. You may not have started the year like you wanted to, but keep striving for your goals. Have you made resolutions? Have you decided to do some things differently this year thank last year? That's great/ But remember you are not perfect. None of us are. As you keep pressing towards your goals give yourself room to make mistakes and learn from them. God does.

Challenges test our strength. Are you strong in The Lord? Prove it! As you seek to know Him more this year continue to lean on God for the strength you need to persevere. Continue to seek His will through Bible study and prayer for the right direction in life. And when you mess up, because you will, don't beat yourself up. Understand that Jesus loves you and will walk with you through every step of life's journey. Seek God's will and never give up.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Free In Christ-Friday Freedom

"And I am calling out to You
For a strength exchange
I will gladly take Your joy for my weakness
Give me a clean heart and I will serve nobody but You"
-Fred Hammond

The only way to real spiritual freedom is to let God have His way in your life! Are you ready to give EVERYTHING over to Christ? Then this can be your year to be free. God is not interested in spiritual plastic surgery. He is not after changing your actions. The Lord is not superficial. God wants to get DEEP into your heart and soul. When the inside is changed the outside will change too. 2015  can be your year IF you give it over to Jesus CHRIST! Now say it like you mean it:

All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything.
1 Corinthians 6:12 esv

Free In Christ-ThursdayThought

Are you a slave? That may seem like a silly question. However slave is defined as, "one that is completely subservient to a dominating influence." If we give our full allegiance to anyone or anything then we are slaves of it. If we waste all of our time thinking about past hurt and how we will get revenge, then we are a slave to those thoughts. If we waste the bulk of our money on meaningless things that do not please God then we are a slave to those purchases. No one can dominate us, but we can willingly submit ourselves to people, impulses, or habits. We become a slave to anything that we submit ourselves to.

The only way to be free is to submit yourself totally to Jesus Christ. Submitting to Christ yields freedom! You may be saved, but have you truly submitted to Him as Lord (Master) of your entire life? New life allows us to experience life the way we were made to, in fellowship with God. If you let Christ dominate you, then nothing else will. Now say it like you mean it:

All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything.
1 Corinthians 6:12 esv

Free In Christ-Wednesday Word

I have stored up your word in my heart,

that I might not sin against you.

Psalm 119:11

It's that time of year where we make resolutions. This is the year of saving more and spending less. We will finally work out more. It's time to learn that new skill. This goes on and on. For most of us the resolutions fade out around March or so. I think the problem is the whole idea of resolutions to begin with. We have the idea that just because the clock and calendar change then we will experience life in a different way. But without a change of heart we will drag all of our mess from 2014 into 2015.

The psalmist here says that he has hidden the word in His heart so he would not sin against God. To be successful in life you don't need to make resolutions. You need to make an intentional decision to seek The Word with passion and hunger everyday. Decide today to hide the awesome truths of the Bible deep in your heart through daily study and meditation. With God's Word as your lamp in this dark world you cannot go wrong. Then when temptation arises you can say with Paul:

All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything.
1 Corinthians 6:12 esv

Free In Christ-TuesdayTruth

All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything. 1 Corinthians 6:12 esv

God wants you to be free. He wants You to live your best life possible. If you're anything like me sometimes you can get discouraged in your Christian walk. Living differently that the world can be stressful at times. Seeking God when seemingly everyone else is seeking themselves gets tough. As we go through the ups and downs of this walk we may want to give up. Yet, God wants you and I to be free!

One thing I love about The Lord is that He never commands us to do something that He will not help us do. Sometimes at work we are given assignments without the proper instructions or resources. But God always gives us what we need to complete the tasks. As we chant with Paul, "I will not be enslaved by anything!" we know that freedom from habitual sin is possible because we know who God is. Jesus died just to save you from sin. Once you accept Him you are new. It is time to walk into that newness.

Free In Christ-Monday Motivation

All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything.
1 Corinthians 6:12 esv

2015 can be your year to be free, but only if you put Christ first in your life! Paul addresses a popular saying during the time of the Corinthian church, "All things are lawful for me." People had the mindset that they could do anything they wanted to with themselves. Mainstream society thinks the same today with our "Anything goes" attitude toward life. The world says that you can do whatever you want because anything goes. However, knowing the truth of freedom through God's grace Paul essentially says "Even though I can do whatever I want, I will not be dominated by anything!"

Are you ready to be free in 2015? If so then you've realized like Paul that even though you can do what you want,  you will not be enslaved by anything. Do you want more from God this year? Then it's time to be free from sin. Sin blocks us from reaching our destiny in Christ, but through His power we can be free. If you are ready for more from God, then this is your year. This is your time to win the battle with habitual sin! If you're ready to give yourself totally over to God and not be dominated by sin say it like you mean it:

I WILL NOT BE ENSLAVED BY ANYTHING!!!

Resolutions-Thursday Thought

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

What do you want in life that God can’t give you? We make resolutions to try and improve ourselves. We want to work out more and eat better. We want to spend less and save more. We want to learn a new skill or refine those we already have. Whatever it is, it is something to make us better. How sad it is that we try and try to do this on our own.

Paul tells us that if we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). If we just follow God’s ways and direction we will live a righteous life. If we believe that God has our best interest at heart (which He does), then our primary goal should simply be to follow Him. He knows everything and can give us whatever we need. Whatever your resolution list may consist of, God’s list is better. Walk in the Spirit. Follow God’s direction. Resolve to be better in Christ!
