High Satisfaction-Wednesday Word

Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 esv

Have you ever prayed intensely to God only to be left feeling forgotten about and ignored? Quite often our prayers are not answered because we are asking for the wrong things. An employer will usually grant the request of an employee and pay for him to take a class or buy books or supplies if the purchase will benefit the employee's work AND the overall good of the company. Why? Because that request is in alignment with the goals of the company. Stop asking God for what you want. Find out what He wants you to do. Ask Him who He wants you to be. Let your desires align with His. The your hearts desires will be met!

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
Genesis 50:20 esv

Father thank You for the seasons of life that make us grow. During the lowest times of life trusting in You is very difficult. It is hard to see Your hand in a situation. It is hard to stay focused on Your Word. Following our own desires becomes easier and easier. Remind us now God that You allow us to endure hardships because of Your deep love for us! You want to shape us into the image of Christ. You want to develop our spiritual roots just like You did for Joseph. Even in the face of adversity we trust You God because we know You are in control and that You have a plan for us. Thank You Lord!

AMEN

.

God had to send Joseph through horrendous situations to remove immaturity, selfishness, and a conceited attitude from him. What is God trying to remove from you?

Promotion-Wednesday Word

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. So do not fear; I will provide for you and your little ones.” Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.
Genesis 50:20-21 esv

God did a mighty work in Joseph. He was able to forgive his brothers after all that their evil intentions caused in his life. From the pit, to Potiphar's house, to prison, and the palace Joseph learned humility, forgiveness, faith, and dependence on God. God worked on Joseph's heart. The experiences were terrible, yet the outcomes were amazing! God did a mighty work in Joseph's heart. Let Him do a mighty work in you too!

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
Genesis 50:20 esv

Your perspective in your trials will determine your outcome. Joseph could have easily harbored anger and bitterness in his heart toward his brothers and all those who wronged him. Instead he chose to see God's purpose in His pain. Ask God to turn your heart away from bitterness and seek His blessings through your pain. Then, and only then, will He elevate you!

The trials God allows us to endure are never purposeless. He always has an intention for what He allows you to endure. Everything God sent Joseph through was to make Him a stronger leader. God is preparing you as well!

Trusting-Friday Freedom

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 esv

Dear Lord,

Show me how to trust You. Through the hardships of life having confidence in You can become very difficult! Remind me Lord that the things that could possibly push me away from You are the exact things You want to use to pull me even closer to You. I trust You God. I trust that Your will is perfect. I trust Your plan. I believe that all things are truly working together for my good, whether I can see how or not. Lord shift my focus away from the pain and to Your plan. Show me what You would have me to learn in this hardship. Thank You for Your grace Lord,

AMEN

And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD Job 1:21

Do you trust God? Do you live like it? Do you see the fruit of trust and faith in your everyday walk with God? Why?

Trusting-Wednesday Word

And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD Job 1:21

The Lord does what He pleases in this world and in our lives. He knows us way more than we know ourselves. Many Christians recognize this Sovereign God when things are working out in their favor, but turn on Him when their situations change. God wants us to trust Him for real!No matter what your current situation may be; He is working it out for your good. He does this in His perfect ways and His perfect timing.

Serve God-Wednesday Word

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct
 your paths."  - Proverbs 3:5-6

A natural part of life is wondering about the future. What’s coming up next? We contemplate all the possible outcomes and consequences. We think about what we can do to make our future more favorable. We think about what we can avoid to dodge pitfalls. Planning for the future is not bad in itself, but the first thing we should do is trust God. When we put Him first, the Lord gives us a simple recipe for success.

God says that of you just trust Him, He will take care of everything. Christ says that of seek His wisdom and not your own, then He will show you where to go. As you go through this journey of life seek God’s direction above all else. Don’t stress yourself out trying to handle all of life’s issue. God is with you. If you just recognize Jesus in all that you do, then He will direct your paths. Walk with the Lord.
