True Vine-Friday Freeodm

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
John 15:4 ESV

Jesus help me to live in harmony with you. You are the vine and I am just a branch. You are my reason for existence and my source of strength. You produce fruit (godly character) in my life. Help me to live each day clinging to You as the true source of my power and strength.

AMEN

True Vine-Wednesday Word

Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
John 15:2 ESV

Many plants must be pruned so that they can grow to their full potential. In order for them to grow and flourish parts have to be cut off. God does the same with us. For those of us who are true branches (truly in the family of God) He sometimes takes us through seasons of pruning and purging so that we can be fully mature.

True Vine-Tuesday Truth

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
John 15:4 ESV

Jesus calls us to abide in Him. He alone is our only source. Remember that and you will live a fruitful and productive life for God.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Psalm 27:14 esv

Patience-Wednesday Word

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Psalm 27:14 esv

Think about every time you thought about making a major decision. Usually when we make big decisions quickly things don't go well. However, if we take time to wait and process our thoughts and how to go about getting things done the end result will be better. That's how Christ works. He takes time to make us think about what He has laid on our hearts and how to seek Him diligently. The ups and downs of life are God's way of teaching us lessons. JUST WAIT ON GOD!

Patience-Tuesday Truth

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Psalm 27:14 esv

Our God is a God of processes. He enjoys working on us over time. While He is moving in your situation He also desires to transform you to the image of Christ. There is purpose in God's process. There is purpose in your pain. JUST WAIT!

Patience-Monday Motivation

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Psalm 27: 14 esv

God rarely operates according to our time schedule. And that is a very good thing! There is something that God does in us through waiting that just cannot take place instantaneously. Trust God's time. WAIT!

Fruit-Friday Freedom

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control..." -Galatians 5:22-23 ESV

Lord make these nine characteristics flourish in me. I want to be like You Jesus. I give up the desire to control my own life. All that I am is under Your authority and control. Holy Spirit clean me up from the inside out!

Fruit-Thursday Thought

"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." -Galatians 5:16 ESV

Are you seeing the fruit of the Spirit in your life? What is blocking it from flourishing?

Fruit-Wednesday Word

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control..." -Galatians 5:22-23 ESV

Any plant must be cared for and nurtured for it to flourish and grow. It takes work, discipline and concern to make this to happen. Plants must be fed, maintained, and protected from hindrances such as weeds. A plant left alone with no nourishment will wither and die. Paul here refers to these nine qualities as fruit. Growing fruit takes time and discipline. We must yield ourselves to the direction of the Holy Spirit and spend time meditating on the Bible and asking God for direction on how we can apply it to our lives. The we will see this "fruit" flourish in us!

Fruit-Tuesday Truth

"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." -Galatians 5:16 ESV

None of us have completely won the battle with sin, but God has given Christians the way to have daily victory in their lives. Walk in the Spirit and you will not give in to your fleshly desires.

Dead to Sin-Friday Freedom

"The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him." -Romans 8:16-17 ESV

Lord I'm not perfect, but Jesus is! As Your child, when You see me, You see Jesus. His perfection and righteousness have been bestowed on me. Help me remember that in times of shame and guilt. I am washed, sanctified, and justified in Christ!
